New Delhi: As early trends in Haryana show BJP leading in 50 of the 90 Assembly seats, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal has shared the “biggest lesson” from the election results — never be overconfident.
Speaking to AAP municipal councillors, Kejriwal emphasized the importance of respecting every election, stating, “No election should be taken lightly. Each seat is tough.” Despite AAP’s expectations, the party is trailing behind both BJP and Congress in most constituencies.
AAP, which contested independently after a failed alliance with Congress, had hoped to make a mark in Haryana but is facing a tough challenge. Kejriwal’s earlier assertion that no government would be formed without AAP’s support now seems far from reality.
Looking ahead, Kejriwal urged his councillors to focus on ensuring efficient garbage collection and disposal in their wards ahead of Delhi’s Assembly elections in February, stressing the importance of local governance in securing a win.
