Jag Mohan Thaken,Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann campaigned for AAP candidate Harinder Dhaliwal in Barnala, urging voters to support him for accelerated development.
Addressing a massive rally, Kejriwal said, “What we promise, we deliver.” He highlighted key achievements of the AAP government in Punjab, including free electricity, medical treatment, and improved schools and hospitals. “Electricity bills are now zero, and 48,000 youth have received government jobs without bribery or recommendations,” he said, emphasizing transparency and accountability in governance.
Kejriwal credited AAP’s tenure for Barnala’s ongoing transformation, citing projects like canal water supply, improved roads, sewage systems, and a new industrial focal point to create jobs. He assured further development if Dhaliwal is elected, stating, “Only an AAP MLA can ensure Barnala’s growth.”
Bhagwant Mann praised Kejriwal’s leadership, calling it a revolution in Indian politics. “Our broom has swept across states, making AAP a national party within ten years,” he said, lauding the people of Barnala for their unwavering support during his parliamentary journey.
Taking a dig at opposition candidates, Mann warned against party-switchers like Kewal Dhillon, accusing them of using money power. “We have love and support; they have money,” he quipped. Mann also criticized Captain Amarinder Singh, claiming his disconnection from the public led to his downfall.
The leaders urged voters to choose AAP for continued progress, promising that Barnala would thrive under their leadership.
