Hisar | A shocking altercation unfolded at the Women’s Police Station in Hisar, where former Indian kabaddi captain Deepak Hooda has accused his wife, international boxer Saweety Boora, of physically assaulting him. The incident occurred during a police inquiry, leading to an FIR against Saweety, her father Mahendra Singh, and her uncle Satyawan.
Clash at the Police Station
On February 25, Deepak and Saweety were summoned for questioning regarding multiple allegations, including fraud, assault, and dowry harassment. However, what started as a verbal dispute soon turned violent. According to Deepak, Saweety, her father, and her uncle attacked him inside the police station, causing injuries. Following the scuffle, he sought medical treatment at Hisar Civil Hospital and later filed a complaint at the Sadar police station.
Confirming the incident, Women’s Police Station in-charge Seema stated that an argument between the couple spiraled out of control, leading to a physical confrontation. Authorities are now set to summon both parties again for further investigation.
Ongoing Legal Feud and Serious Allegations
The clash at the police station is the latest chapter in an escalating legal battle between the two sportspersons. Eighteen days prior, Saweety Boora had filed an FIR against Deepak Hooda, accusing him of dowry harassment. She claimed that despite giving ₹1 crore and a Fortuner car in dowry, Deepak subjected her to physical and mental abuse.
Deepak, on the other hand, has filed a separate case in Rohtak, alleging that Saweety and her family threatened his life and tried to seize his property. He further accused Saweety of attempting to attack him with a knife while he was asleep.
Political Links and Fallout
Both Deepak and Saweety have strong political connections as members of the BJP. Deepak contested the Maham Assembly seat in the last elections but faced defeat, while Saweety was denied a party ticket.
With both sides locked in serious accusations, the legal proceedings are expected to take a critical turn as police continue their probe into the volatile dispute.
