In a significant development from Haryana, the district administration of Jhajjar has forwarded a proposal to the state government to change the tehsil of three villages. According to reports, the panchayats of Bhindawas, Bilochpura, and Shahjahanpur in the Badli Assembly constituency submitted applications to shift from Matanhel tehsil to Jhajjar tehsil.
The administration has recommended the change based on the villagers’ requests, with Jhajjar’s District Revenue Officer (DRO) Pramod Chahal confirming the development. The villagers argue that Matanhel tehsil is too far, leading to wastage of time and money for government-related work, while Jhajjar tehsil would be more convenient.
The proposal, backed by the administration, has been sent to the government, where a committee is expected to review it soon. Sources indicate that a decision could be made in the near future. Notably, Congress MLA from Badli, Kuldeep Vats, has also raised the issue multiple times in support of the villagers’ demand, raising hopes for its approval.
