Water Resources Minister Reviews Preparations for National Water Vision-2047 Conference

Jaipur, February 12, 2025 – Water Resources Minister Suresh Chandra Rawat chaired a meeting with departmental officials at Udaipur Circuit House on Wednesday to review the preparations for the upcoming National Water Vision-2047 Conference, scheduled for February 18-19 in Udaipur. He also assessed the progress of the Chief Minister’s budget announcements, issuing necessary directives to expedite implementation.

 

Minister Rawat emphasized interdepartmental coordination to ensure the conference is organized in a well-structured and dignified manner. He stated, “The event will see the participation of the Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Chief Ministers of various states, and other distinguished guests. All arrangements, from reception and accommodation to the conference proceedings, must be of the highest standard to enhance Udaipur’s and Rajasthan’s reputation.”

 

Review of Budget Announcements and Devs Project Progress

 

During the meeting, Minister Rawat directed officials to accelerate work on the Devas Project and instructed the Forest Department to expedite the land transfer process to facilitate the project’s early commencement. He also emphasized the swift completion of the tender process for the Bagolia Feeder and Khari Feeder projects, ensuring construction work begins without delay.

 

Additionally, he reviewed various ongoing water infrastructure projects in the Udaipur division and urged officials to complete them within the stipulated timelines.

 

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Engineer Rishabh Jain, Superintending Engineer Manoj Jain, and other senior department officials.
