Tawi Trekkers J&K Celebrates 42nd Anniversary with Grand Event

Jammu, Feb 3: Tawi Trekkers J&K marked its 42nd Anniversary and Annual Prize Distribution Function at Amar Singh Club, Jammu, celebrating the achievements of sport climbers, mountaineers, and adventure institutions.

The event was graced by Sanjeev Verma, Commissioner Secretary, Social Welfare Department, J&K, as the chief guest. Anil Goswami, Chairman of Tawi Trekkers and former Home Secretary of India, presided over the ceremony. Other notable attendees included:

Additionally, notable mountaineers Shashi Kant Sharma, Sourav Deep Singh, Mallikarjun Singh Slathia, and Wing Commander Rajesh Mukhi were honored for their remarkable climbing achievements, including summiting the UT Kangri peak in Ladakh.

Several schools and institutions were also felicitated for their outstanding contributions to adventure activities, further promoting trekking and mountaineering in the region.
