Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayad Singh Saini announced the approval of all 12 road connectivity proposals during a review meeting with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. The meeting focused on enhancing road infrastructure and addressing public concerns regarding new road constructions in the state.

Saini expressed satisfaction with the discussions, stating, “We addressed all issues raised by the public about new road construction in Haryana. I am pleased to announce that all 12 proposals we submitted have been approved.”

Key projects include the preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for a four-lane road connecting the Kurukshetra bypass to the Ladwa bypass and Yamunanagar. Additionally, a 12-kilometre expressway linking Faridabad to Jewar Airport will be elevated to alleviate issues faced by local residents.

“The Kurukshetra bypass has been a long-standing topic of discussion. The approval for this four-lane road means work will begin soon,” Saini noted. He also mentioned that the Faridabad Jewar Greenfield Expressway would connect to Mohna village, enhancing local connectivity.

Further proposals include a four-lane road from Shahbad and another route connecting Panchkula to Dehradun and Haridwar. To ease traffic congestion from Gurugram to key areas, instructions have been issued for the DPR of the National Mandela Road to MG Road and intersections at Gurugram-Faridabad.

Approval has also been granted for the Gurugram-Farukh Nagar-Jhajjar corridor, with discussions on building an interchange at the Kherki Daula toll to connect with the Jammu-Katra road. Saini confirmed that plans are underway to connect Delhi Airport with Jammu-Katra Airport and to construct a flyover near Dharuhera.
