Three killed, 4 others injured in wall collapse in UP

Barabanki: Three people were killed and four others were injured in two separate cases of wall collapse in the district, according to authorities here on Friday. Budhai, a resident of Bhabhutgarhi village in the Subeha police station boundaries, left his sleeping two children at home and went to answer nature’s call on Friday, according to the police.

When he returned, the wall of his thatched-roof house had collapsed on the children, according to the authorities. Budhai and the locals helped him clear the rubble, but his daughter Naina (4) had already died. They stated that his kid, Ravi (6), was taken to the Trauma Centre in Lucknow but died as a result of his injuries.

A young woman died and four others were injured when the wall of their house fell in the Deva police station boundaries on Thursday night. Savita (30) was celebrating ‘bhai dooj’ with her parents in Mohanpur village when the wall of their ‘kutcha’ house collapsed on them. The injured were brought to a nearby hospital, which transferred a badly injured Savita to Lucknow, where she died while receiving treatment. SHO Pawan Singh of the Deva police station said the four injured people were being treated at the district hospital. According to revenue official Dharmanand, the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund will provide help to the victims’ families in accordance with the laws.
