Team India beats Pak in first T20 WC match, leaders applaud

New Delhi: Indian men’s cricket team defeated Pakistan by 4 wickets in a what turned out to be an exciting match. Kohli, who arrived to bat on the first wicket, played a fine innings till the end, leading India to victory.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday congratulated Team India for defeating Pakistan in their first match of the T20 World Cup.

Shah tweeted and said that the right way to start the T20 World Cup is a good start to Deepawali. Calling former Captain’s innings to be brilliant, Shah congratulated the whole team.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also tweeted and called the match against Pakistan to be an exciting one. He said that this is one of the biggest victories under pressure, great performance, TeamIndia.

The Chief Minister of Delhi also tweeted saying that it was a wonderful match. He added, Virat’s excellent game led India to a spectacular victory against Pakistan and congratulated the team for India’s winning start in the World T20. Expecting India to win the cup, Kejriwal hoped that winning streak would keep going.
