Stampede in Sikar’s Khatushyamji fair, 3 women killed

Jaipur: Three women were killed in a stampede on Monday morning at the famous Khatushyamji’s monthly fair at Ringas in the Sikar district of Rajasthan. As soon as the information was received, the police-administration teams reached and started the relief work. At present, all the injured have been admitted to the nearest hospital. It is being said that the stampede took place at around 4 in the morning. At this time, the doors of the temple were closed.

During this, three women died in the scuffle and stampede. Two others are said to be injured in this accident. The monthly fair of Putrada Ekadashi was held in Khatushyamji. From late night itself, a large number of devotees started gathering for darshan. Meanwhile, the Aarti was about to take place on Monday morning when there was a stampede among the visitors and three women died after being hit by the crowd. Two others who sustained minor injuries in the incident were discharged after first aid.
