Shehbaz visits London to consult Nawaz Sharif to appoint new Pak army chief

London: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited London for consultation with his brother and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, for the appointment of a new chief of army staff. Shehbaz had also consulted Nawaz and had changed the finance minister. A close relative of Nawaz was inducted as the finance minister.

After attending the UN meeting on Climate Change in Egypt, Shehbaz reached London in a private aircraft to meet Nawaz. The two discussed the appointment of a new Army Chief by the end of this month, following the retirement of General Qamar Javed Bajwa on November 29.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has charged Shehbaz with violation of the Official Secrecy Act and oath taken under it as the Prime Minister.
