Kakinada: The Deputy Inspector of Factories has issued show cause notices to seven industrial units in Kakinada district for failing to comply with industrial safety regulations. This action follows a review on safety measures in hazardous industries conducted by the district collector on September 2.

The collector had mandated the installation of sensors and level indicators at chemical storage tanks by October 16. The non-compliant industries include KBK Biotech, NCS Industries, Sai Samitha Stores, Mahithi Stores, IMC, Tirumalesa Logistics, and Angreen. In light of their failure to meet these requirements, stringent actions may follow as ordered by the district collector, Shan Mohan.
