MUMBAI: The benchmark Sensex surged nearly 362 points on Tuesday, with the Nifty closing above the 25,000 mark, marking two consecutive days of gains. This uptrend followed a rebound in US markets and fresh foreign fund inflows.
The 30-share BSE Sensex rose by 361.75 points, or 0.44%, to close at 81,921.29, driven by IT, telecom, and select banking stocks. Earlier in the day, it jumped by 637.01 points, or 0.78%, to reach 82,196.55.
Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty climbed 104.70 points, or 0.42%, to settle at 25,041.10.
