PM inaugurates cancer hospital in Assam

Dibrugarh (Assam): Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the newly built Cancer Central Hospital in Assam on Thursday.

 

On the second leg of his one-day tour of the state, he reached the Assam Medical College campus in Dibrugarh after visiting Karbi Anglong. It was here that he dedicated to the nation the newly built Cancer Central Hospital built in collaboration with the Tatas and the Government of Assam.

The Prime Minister is to attend a public function at Dibrugarh’s Khanikar Maidan, where he is will virtually dedicate six more newly built state cancer hospitals to the nation. He will also lay the foundation stone of seven new cancer hospitals.

Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi, union AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal along with other dignitaries were present.
