Paralympic Medallists to Receive Rs 75 Lakh for Gold, Rs 50 Lakh for Silver, Rs 30 Lakh for Bronze

NEW DELHI: Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced on Tuesday that Indian athletes who won medals at the recently concluded Paralympic Games in Paris will receive substantial cash awards. Gold medallists will be awarded Rs 75 lakh, silver medallists Rs 50 lakh, and bronze winners Rs 30 lakh.

Additionally, athletes excelling in mixed team events, such as archer Sheetal Devi, will receive Rs 22.5 lakh. The announcement was made during a special event organized to honor the Paralympic medallists.
