Veteran actor Pankaj Kapur has expressed a desire to take on a comedic role, highlighting that it’s been a while since he ventured into lighter, humorous roles. Known for his serious performances in classics like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro and TV shows like Office Office, Kapur noted that he often receives scripts with a “crude” tone and wishes to explore comedy to bring joy to audiences.
Despite his love for acting, Kapur is also passionate about directing and writing. He made his directorial debut with Mausam in 2011 and released his novella Dopehri in 2019. He expressed a preference for focusing on his creative work without the need to convince producers for projects.
Kapur, who was recently seen in the Netflix series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, will next appear in the film Binny and Family.
