Varanasi: Nepal’s Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba along with wife Arju Rana Deuba and a 40-member team on Sunday attended the golden sanctum sanctorum of Shri Kashi Vishwanath.
In the sanctum sanctorum, the Prime Minister of Nepal consecrated Baba’s Jyotirlinga with full devotion amidst the chanting of mantras by Vedic Brahmins. Prime Minister of Nepal wished for happiness and prosperity in his country. Earlier, the temple management had welcomed the visiting Prime Minister and the team accompanying him.After worshiping in the temple, PM of Nepal saw the new and expanded form of Kashi Vishwanath Dham.
The Chief Minister of the state, Yogi Adityanath also apprised the visiting Prime Minister about the new and grand form of Kashi. Deuba was given a grand welcome by the citizens near gate number-4 of Kashi Vishwanath temple. Prime Minister of Nepal entered the temple of Baba Vishwanath amidst the chants of Har Har Mahadev with the sound of drums.
Artists from Ayodhya and Mathura presented cultural programs. Women artists who arrived from Ayodhya presented cultural show . The citizens, along with BJP workers, waved the tricolor and the flag of Nepal and gave a warm welcome to the guests.
After special worship at Kashi Vishwanath temple, Prime Minister Deuba reached Sampyreshwar Pashupatinath Mahadev Temple at Lalita Ghat.
Here the temple management welcomed the Prime Minister according to Nepali tradition. The temple located near Lalita Ghat is a replica of Nepal’s famous Pashupatinath as seen from outside. Hence it is also called Pashupatinath of Kashi. It has been built on the lines of Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu. After darshan worship at the Nepali temple, the guest Prime Minister and his accompanying team will rest for sometime after having lunch at a star hotel in Nadesar.
After this, Deuba and Chief Minister Adityanath of Nepal will hold talks on various issues for half an hour. From here the Prime Minister will go to the Airport. Chief Minister Adityanath will also accompany him and see him off.
