New Delhi: NEET-UG examination will be held on July 17, as per schedule. The Delhi High Court on Thursday dismissed a petition seeking postponement of the NEET-UG examination.

A bench of Justice Sanjeev Narula questioned how 15 students can demand to reschedule of the exam date.

The court called the petition to be completely wrong and dismissed the petition without cost as the petitioners were students.

During the hearing, counsel for the National Testing Agency said that more than 90 percent of students have downloaded the admit cards. He said the delay in conducting exams would impact future academic sessions. He said similar demands were raised in 2020 and 2021 as well, which the courts refused to accede to.

The petition stated that the examination of NEET-UG clashed with the examination of CUET. CUET exam is starting on July 15. The petition stated that the National Testing Agency in its official notice had said that while preparing the schedule of the CUET examination, NEET-UG would be taken care of, but the examination of NEET-UG is scheduled for July 17.
