Ghazipur (UP), BJP President J P Nadda added the term ‘HIRA’ to the development lexicon on Friday, emphasizing the central government’s focus on highways, internet, railways, and airways. He also stated that, at a time when the entire world is in the grip of a financial crisis, India has surpassed Britain to become the world’s fifth-largest economy.
“Today, I say that development means HIRA — H for Highway, I for Internet, R for Railways, and A for Airways,” Nadda said in a speech at a public meeting in this city. “Today, when I was coming (from Kashi), I saw Ghazipur has changed a lot. It used to take hours to get from Kashi to Ghazipur. Today, it only took one and a half hours,” he added.
It is worth noting that at the BJP’s National Executive meeting in Delhi on January 17, it was unanimously approved to extend J P Nadda’s tenure until June 2024. Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced the extension of Nadda’s tenure to reporters on the final day of the BJP’s two-day executive meeting at the convention centre of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) in the capital. Following that, Nadda paid his first visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency of Varanasi and its neighboring Ghazipur.
