Kharge seeks Cong leaders support in Jammu, Srinagar

Jammu: National Presidential candidate Mallikarjun Kharge sought support for himself in Jammu and Kashmir in the election of All India Congress Committee (AICC).

Kharge visited Jammu and Kashmir to Srinagar on Sunday. He first met Congress leaders in Srinagar and in the afternoon in Jammu. During this, Kharge sought the support of Congress leaders for the election of the party president. He discussed various issues with the delegates of the state.

During the Congress elections, delegates will vote through ballot boxes at party headquarters Srinagar and Jammu on October 17 to decide the national president. The results of the elections will be declared on October 19. Apart from Kharge, Shashi Tharoor is the candidate in this election.

One delegate from each block from Jammu and Kashmir shall vote for the election of the National President. Elections will be conducted in the state under the supervision of PRO State Returning Officer MP Ranjit Ranjan. After a long time, the elections are being conducted for the National President of Congress. The Assistant Returning Officers will be posted during the elections at the party headquarters in Jammu and Srinagar.
