New Delhi: Ramveer Singh Bidhuri, Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, has said that Arvind Kejriwal is trying to mislead the public by lying in front of them on the issue of free ravadis. In a release on Friday, Bidhuri said that the Kejriwal government had given loans to two students in the name of higher education and spent Rs 19 crore on publicity.

Bidhuri said that Kejriwal promised loans in the name of higher education and only two students were given this loan in 2021-22 last year. The Kejriwal government spent more than 19 crore 27 lakhs on the promotion of this scheme. In the initial years, the government gave loans to some students, but in the last 3 years, only 35 students were selected for loans, while crores of rupees were spent on publicity. The government itself has given this information in response to an RTI.

Bidhuri said that the Kejriwal government has spent only three lakh rupees on making manure from stubble and has campaigned by spending 15 crore and 80 lakh rupees on it. On this issue, CM Kejriwal should answer how he looted so much money from Delhi’s treasury.

Bidhuri said that Kejriwal is distributing free ravadis, which is why he is suffering the most due to the observations of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court did not take any names and made a scathing comment on the culture of freebies. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed his concern over this culture in view of the observations of the Supreme Court. That is why the biggest trouble has started for Kejriwal that the court should not ban his free ravadis. The Leader of the Opposition said that education and health are in the concurrent list and are state subjects. So, alleging that the Center is going to ban free education or health care is likewise baseless.
