Joshimath: The DM announced a temporary ban on all construction activities

Joshimath: Up till further orders, all construction work has been prohibited in Joshimath Municipality and the neighbouring areas. Himanshu Khurana, the Chamoli District Magistrate, disclosed this information and stated that people who have been temporarily relocated are receiving relief supplies. Our representatives frequently interact with the public and work to address their issues.

Let us inform you that Joshimath, which is experiencing the worst situation, has had all construction suspended out of prudence. However, the Joshimath-Badrinath National Highway is being widened arbitrarily in the direction of Helang. JCB is sieving the mountains’ chest in this picture. In Joshimath town, the state government halted all development projects after water seepage and fissures in residential and commercial structures became apparent. Helang Bypass construction as well as other projects were put on hold in this NTPC. However, it is unexpected that the Joshimath National Highway is being widened in a random manner.

Under the Chardham All-Weather Road project, the Border Roads Organization (BRO) is starting the road expansion construction. It was thought that since this route was so near to the city, the construction on it had likewise come to an end.
