On Monday, the second case of monkeypox was confirmed in Coonoor, Kerala. After the matter came to light, State Health Minister Veena George informed us that the second patient is a 31-year-old youth. Earlier on July 14, the first case of monkeypox was reported from Kerala itself. After two cases came to light, the central government has now ordered strict screening of all international passengers at ports, and airports.

Earlier in Kerala itself, on July 14, a 35-year-old man who had recently returned from the UAE was found infected with monkeypox.
