IAF jawan arrested for spying

New Delhi: The Crime Branch of the Delhi Police arrested an Indian Air Force (IAF) jawan on espionage charges on Thursday. The accused, Devendra Sharma, was allegedly caught in a honey trap in an attempt to obtain sensitive information about the IAF from him.

The Delhi Police suspects that Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the ISI, is involved in this operation.

It is alleged that an attempt was made to collect sensitive IAF information from him by first trapping IAF jawan Devendra Sharma in the honey trap, said a Delhi Police officer.

The police also discovered some suspicious transactions in Sharma’s wife’s bank account.
