Loharu: A four-month pregnant woman, found to be HIV-positive, was allegedly thrown out of her home by her in-laws in a village under Loharu police station jurisdiction. Following her complaint, Loharu police have registered a case against her husband.
According to the woman’s complaint, she got married on November 27, 2023, to a man from a village in the Tosham area. She was healthy before the marriage. Recently, during a medical checkup by her mother-in-law, it was discovered that she was HIV-positive.
After the diagnosis, her in-laws began harassing her and even threatened her with forced abortion. When she refused to undergo the abortion, they allegedly conspired to push her out. They reportedly forced her into a car and drove her 500 meters away from her village, where they pushed her out of the vehicle and drove off. The woman somehow managed to return home and reported the incident. A case has been filed against the accused husband by the police under relevant sections.
