Actor Harshvardhan Rane, known for his roles in films like Taish (2020), Haseen Dillruba (2021), and Dange (2024), is set to return to the big screen in the sequel to his Bollywood debut Sanam Teri Kasam (2016). The production banner Soham Rockstar, which produced the original film, has officially announced the follow-up, Sanam Teri Kasam 2.
The announcement was made on Instagram, where Soham Rockstar shared a photo of Rane alongside producer Deepak Mukut, confirming that the sequel is in development. The company wrote, “Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is officially happening! After the epic love story of the first film, we’re back with more! Stay tuned for updates.”
Rane also took to his Instagram page to share the exciting news with his followers.
The original Sanam Teri Kasam was directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. Released in 2016, the film starred Rane alongside Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane. The story followed an awkward librarian who, after being disowned by her family, seeks the help of her brooding neighbor, played by Rane. The sequel aims to continue the love story that captured audiences’ hearts.
