New Delhi: The government convened a meeting of floor leaders from all political parties on Thursday ahead of the Budget Session of Parliament, set to commence on Friday, January 31.
The session will begin with President Droupadi Murmu’s address to a joint sitting of both Houses, setting the stage for the government’s legislative agenda.

- February 1 – Union Budget 2025 presentation.
- February 13 – Conclusion of the first phase.
- March 10 – April 4 – Second phase of the session.
Defence Minister Chairs All-Party Meet
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the customary pre-session meeting, aimed at:
- Informing political parties about the government’s legislative agenda.
- Seeking inputs on key issues they plan to raise during the session.

- BJP: J P Nadda (BJP president & Union minister).
- Congress: Gaurav Gogoi, Jairam Ramesh.
