DM Rajnath Singh to brief House panel on Agnipath on July 11

New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will brief a Parliamentary Consultative Committee meeting about the Agnipath scheme on July 11.

The Defence Minister will discuss the various aspects of the recently launched soldier recruitment scheme.

Defence Secretary, the three Service Chiefs and other senior officials of Ministry of Defence are likely to be part of the meeting.

Agnipath Scheme, launched on June 14, will recruit the youth for four years in all three defence services. After completion of their tenure, 25% of the Agniveers will be retained and the rest will be discharged of services.
