Bikram Majithia accused Channi of earning 1111 crores in 111 days; will Channi file a defamation case against him too? – Raghav Chadha

Raghav Chadha, the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Punjab affairs co-in-charge, has questioned Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, asking why Congress did not take action against former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh when he accused Charanjit Singh Channi of running a sand mafia and filed a written complaint against him.Rather than taking action against Channi, Chadha claims, the Congress leadership rewarded him by appointing him as chief minister. Chadha questioned why, after learning of Channi’s ties to the sand mafia, the top Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi appointed him as chief minister? Why was Channi not dismissed from the party when crores of rupees and several unaccounted property paperwork were seized from Channi’s relatives in an ED raid?

He questioned whether the sand mafia’s money has reached the top of the Congress leadership, which is why they are not taking action against Chief Minister Channi.

Captain Amarinder Singh, the former Chief Minister of Punjab, has issued a statement indicating that while in office, he asked Congress President Sonia Gandhi to take action against then-Minister Charanjit Singh Channi for his involvement in illegal mining in Chamkaur Sahib, according to Chadha.

The complaint was written, but instead of taking action against Channi for sand mafia, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi rewarded him by making him chief minister. He claimed that if the Congress’ senior leadership was concerned about the sand mafia, narcotics mafia, and other mafias in Punjab, Charanjit Singh Channi, who is a sand mafia patron, would not have been named Chief Minister of Punjab. Bikram Singh Majithia, an Akali politician, has levelled severe allegations against Chief Minister Channi.

Majithia has claimed that Channi, his relatives Honey and Money, and the sand mafia are involved in a business worth crores of rupees, according to Chadha. Majithia further claimed that Chief Minister Channi’s kin are mining even on forest department territory, where excavation is prohibited. Majithia said that Channi made Rs 1111 crore in 111 days.

Chadha questioned Chief Minister Channi if, like the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal, he will now bring a defamation lawsuit against Bikram Majithia. We revealed the sand mafia in Chamkaur Sahib, Chief Minister Channi’s assembly seat, a few weeks ago, and alerted the people of Punjab that the sand mafia was being controlled here through Chief Minister Channi and his kin, according to Chadha. The ED raids discovered crores of rupees from CM Channi’s nephew’s house, proving our charges against him. Chadha was surprised that only one of his nephews received Rs 11 crore from him.

I’m not sure how many more of the Chief Minister’s relatives there are. It’s tough to say how much money would be uncovered if the raid is at Chief Minister Channi’s house. When Channi made so much money in 111 days, Chadha asked how much money he would have made if he had been the Chief Minister of Punjab for 5 years. “Gali gali mein shor hai, Channi reta chor hai,” Chadha stated, adding that there is a new slogan in Punjab these days.
