The number of daily Covid-19 cases in Tamil Nadu has continued to fall, with 6,120 new infections reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 34,10,882, according to the health department on Sunday. According to a medical bulletin, 26 more people died from the virus, bringing the total to 37,759. Recoveries outnumbered new cases, with 23,144 people discharged in the last 24 hours, totaling 32,51,295 people, leaving 1,21,828 people with active infections.
Kerala saw a decrease in daily coronavirus cases on Sunday, with 26,729 new infections reported, bringing the total number of people affected by the disease to 62.71 lakh. The death toll from Covid has risen to 58,255, with 22 more people killed. Yesterday, the state recorded 33,538 cases, and on Friday, it recorded 38,684 cases.
Officials in Rajasthan reported 4,509 new Covid cases and seven new deaths on Sunday.
