Kathmandu: China has started erecting fencing in the border area of Nepal overlooking objections raised by citizens regarding encroachment on Nepal’s territory.
Nepal’s Land Management Minister Shashi Shreshth was handed over a representation by the people in this connection. China has encroached upon Chumanubari Municipal Council-I in Gorkha on the Ruila border. Violation of international law in different areas is an insult to the relationship between the two nations, the people have alleged. People have demanded stern action against this encroachment.
Despite several reminders and opposition, China is continuing with its expansion mission. Earlier in June China erected fencing in No Man’s Land near North Gorkha encroaching upon Nepal’s land.
