Jalaun/New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the 296-km long Bundelkhand Expressway constructed at a cost of Rs 14,850 crore and passing through 7 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The foundation stone of the expressway was laid by Prime Minister Modi himself in February 2020.
Prime Minister Modi dedicated the expressway to Bundelkhand and said that the distance from Chitrakoot to Delhi has been reduced by 3-4 hours by this expressway, but its benefit is more than that. This expressway will not only give speed to the traffic here, but it will also accelerate the industrial progress of the entire Bundelkhand, he added.
Prime Minister targeted the previous governments regarding the law and order situation of the state. He said that he has been coming to Uttar Pradesh for decades and with the blessings of the state, he is working as the country’s Pradhan Sevak for the last 8 years. During this he saw that if two important things are added in UP, then Uttar Pradesh will stand with great strength against challenges, first, poor law and order and second, poor connectivity in all respects. Without naming anyone, he said that you know what was the situation here earlier. We improved on both, the law and order situation is improving, so connectivity has also improved.
