BEd colleges in Jharkhand to enroll students through open admission for vacant seats

As of now 3,392 seats are lying vacant in BEd colleges across the state

Universities across Jharkhand have decided to admit students through ‘open admissions’ on the vacant seats in colleges after four rounds of counselling.

From a total of 13,600 seats in BEd colleges, 10, 208 seats have been filled up till now through online counselling. Among different categories, 1,267 seats reserved for ST category and 1009 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) are vacant. Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) had conducted the examinations for admission to BEd colleges.

There are about four government BEd colleges in the state including two in Ranchi and one each in Deoghar and Hazaribag respectively. The fee structure he government colleges is Rs 8,000 which is much less than that of private and self-financed colleges.
