Assam Govt Joint Secretary arrested for taking bribe ₹90,000

Guwahati: The team of Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Assam has arrested KK Sharma, Joint Secretary (ACS), Government of Assam for taking bribe for renewal of security firm license.

State’s special DGP GP Singh said on Saturday that the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Assam arrested KK Sharma, Joint Secretary, Government of Assam, after taking a bribe of ₹90,000 from the complainant for renewal of security firm license, late last evening.

After the arrest, the investigation team conducted a search operation in the residential premises of KK Sharma and recovered unaccounted cash worth ₹49,24,700. Seizing it, the police is taking legal action.
