New Delhi, 28 November (BT): The dates of Asia’s biggest air show, ‘Aero India’, have been announced. The biennial will be held at the Air Force Station in Yelahanka (Bengaluru) from February 13-17 next year.
Air Force Station Yelahanka has been hosting the show since 1996. It will have both Indian and foreign exhibitors. It will also facilitate virtual exhibitions. Aero India website has gone live.
According to the Defence Ministry, the 14th edition of Aero India will be held at the Air Force Station in Yelahanka from February 13-17.
The previous edition of the biennial event was organised in 2021 in a hybrid model due to the corona pandemic, as it had several restrictions, the show was reduced to a three-day event. This time the 14th edition is scheduled for five days and the air show will be open to both trade visitors and general public. The first three days of the air show will be reserved for trade visitors and the last two days will be open to the general public.
Bengaluru-based Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) will organise the event. The last edition saw the participation of 530 companies with delegations from 43 countries. Aero India is a biennial air show and aviation exhibition. Ministry of Defence, Indian Air Force, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Department of Space, Ministry of Civil Aviation have joined hands to organise Aero India Show, making it Asia’s largest air show.
