Amrapali promoter gets interim bail on health grounds

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has granted four-week interim bail to Amrapali Group promoter Anil Sharma on health grounds. During the hearing, Anil Sharma’s lawyer said that Sharma has got an infection and his condition is getting worse. In view of his health condition, he should be granted bail.

The Supreme Court had recently allowed Sharma to undergo hernia operation and allowed treatment at AIIMS in a week. In an earlier hearing, the Supreme Court had directed ASG Aishwarya Bhati to file a report on Sharma’s health condition. Sharma was detained in January 2020, on the orders of the apex court. A case has been registered against Anil Sharma under the Money Laundering Act for misappropriation of money.
