Amarnath Yatra resumes via both routes

Jammu: The Amarnath yatra, stopped due to inclement weather, resumed via both, the Baltal and Pahalgam, routes. Another batch of pilgrims from Jammu base camp, Bhagwati Nagar, left for Pahalgam and Baltal on Wednesday morning.

10,480 pilgrims were sent from Baltal base camp towards Chandanwadi on Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, four thousand pilgrims were sent from Nunwan base camp to the holy cave via Pahalgam. The journey is going on smoothly from Sheshnag, Mahakunjstap, and Panjtarni.

Another batch of 6,415 pilgrims left for Baltal and Pahalgam base camps under tight security from Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu at 4:30 am on Wednesday. 3,987 pilgrims left for Pahalgam and 2,428 pilgrims left for Baltal. This batch left Jammu in 258 different vehicles. Till Tuesday night, 1,31,815 devotees had darshan of Lord Shiva in the form of Himling in the holy Amarnath cave.
