Akhilesh Yadav to Attend Congress’ Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra Following Seat-Sharing Agreement

Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh), February 22: After resolving the seat-sharing deadlock in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav confirmed his attendance at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Agra.

 

“We will attend the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. Soon their (Congress) program will be held in Agra, and I will attend it,” SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav stated in a media address.

 

The Samajwadi Party and Congress have agreed to contest elections on 63 and 17 seats, respectively, out of Uttar Pradesh’s 80 Lok Sabha seats, marking a significant agreement within the INDIA bloc.

 

Yadav also criticized the central government over the ongoing farmer’s protest, questioning their claims amidst the unrest. He highlighted issues regarding MSP, farmer dissatisfaction, and alleged corporate pressure on agricultural practices.

 

The alliance between Samajwadi Party and Congress was confirmed earlier, with Yadav emphasizing the significance of the collaboration in upholding constitutional values and promoting social justice.
