Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu said he was anguished by the demise of former Japanese Prime Minister, Mr Shinzo Abe. Naidu said, Abe played a crucial role in strengthening India-Japan ties. Vice-President expressed deepest condolences to his family members and the people of Japan.
Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar felt it was his personal loss and found himself to be falling short of words. MEA tweeted, A sad day for Japan, for India,the world and for me personally. A quarter century of memories of Shinzo Abe. No words to express them.
