2 arrested in Punjab led to 3.5 kg RDX

Chandigarh: Two youth, detained by the Punjab Police on grounds of suspicion, led to the recovery of about 3.5 kg RDX hidden in an old building in the border district of Tarn Taran on Sunday.

SSP Ranjit Singh Dhillon said that the investigating agencies were working on the mission for the past three days after intelligence inputs about the existence of a big network by Pakistan that was operational in the district.

The arrested youths are being interrogated. At their behest, 3.5 kg RDX, kept hidden in an old building was recovered.

The SSP said that the police would not spare any criminal while the common man would not be harassed.
