2.40 quintals of silver worth two two crores recovered from luxary car

Chapra/Gopalganj: Excise department team in search of liquor tumbled out to seize and recover 2.40 quintals of silver during checking at the Balthari check-post in Gopalganj. Seized silver is said to be worth two crores. Silver was being taken to Muzaffarpur from Agra.

Excise superintendent Rakesh Kumar told that during checking, the silver was recovered from the hidden place of a luxury car. Two persons have been arrested. He said that the silver bricks recovered are worth two crores. The sales Tax and Income Tax department have been called for an investigation as no proper documents were shown by the persons carrying silver.
