Kabul Investigates Possible Killings of Afghan Migrants on Iran-Pakistan Border

Kabul: The Taliban’s interim government is looking into reports concerning the potential killings of Afghan migrants along the Iran-Pakistan border. Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesperson for the government, confirmed that various departments are conducting an investigation into the matter.

Media reports indicate that Iranian border guards allegedly opened fire on Afghan migrants attempting to cross illegally into Iran near the Saravan border crossing on October 13. Iranian rights activists claim that approximately 250 individuals were killed in the incident.
