Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) continue their operations in southern Lebanon, uncovering significant stockpiles of weaponry reportedly left behind by Hezbollah operatives. According to IDF officials, troops from the 188th Armored Brigade have discovered weapons stored in nearly every home in some villages.
In recent days, the brigade, part of the 36th Division, has located multiple weapon caches and tunnels during their missions. Additionally, IDF forces have identified and dismantled a Hezbollah command center believed to have been used for planning rocket attacks on northern Israel.
Col. Or Vollozinsky, commander of the 188th Brigade, emphasized the ongoing focus on neutralizing both above-ground and underground military infrastructure. “We will continue these efforts until we ensure the safe return of residents to the north,” he stated in remarks released by the IDF.
As operations proceed, the IDF remains committed to securing the region and mitigating threats from militant groups.
