Jaipur: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has raised serious concerns about the escalating threat of demographic disorder in India, likening its potential consequences to that of a nuclear bomb. Speaking at the International Conference for Chartered Accountants at Birla Auditorium, he echoed the sentiments of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, highlighting the implications of demographic shifts in the country.
Dhankhar pointed out that certain regions are evolving into political fortresses, undermining the essence of democracy where elections hold little significance. “It is extremely worrying how some areas have become impregnable strongholds, where the true spirit of democracy has been compromised,” he remarked.
In a recent speech, Bhagwat emphasized the plight of Hindus in Bangladesh, marking their decline to minority status and calling for attention to religion-based population dynamics in India.
Elaborating on India’s future, Dhankhar stated, “India must remain a stable global power, and this century should belong to us for the betterment of humanity. Ignoring the threats posed by demographic turmoil could have dire consequences for the nation.”
He distinguished between natural demographic changes and those that are strategically orchestrated, warning that the latter could pose an existential threat. “Over the past few decades, we see a troubling pattern of demographic change that challenges our values and civilizational ethos,” he said, urging systematic action to counter this trend.
Citing examples from around the world, he warned of nations that have lost their identity due to demographic upheaval. Dhankhar underscored the need to preserve India’s inclusiveness, stating, “We have welcomed all as a majority, fostering a tolerant ecosystem. In contrast, there exists a brutal kind of majority that undermines others’ values.”
He called for unity beyond narrow divisions, promoting a nationalist outlook that embraces India’s diversity. “A true citizen of India, regardless of faith, celebrates our shared cultural heritage,” he asserted.
Highlighting the threats to India’s unity, he concluded, “Our cultural heritage is under attack, being portrayed as a weakness. We must establish a strong ideological counter to these forces aimed at undermining the country.”
