Vijayawada: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) President and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy chaired a significant state-level workshop at the party’s central office in Tadepalli on Thursday. The workshop brought together district presidents, heads of affiliated wings, and representatives from across the state.
In his address, Reddy emphasized the need to strengthen the party’s organizational structure, advocating for a systematic framework from the state level down to the village level. He urged the formation of committees to enhance party empowerment, particularly focusing on involving women in party activities.
He set a six-month deadline for establishing active village-level committees that would engage youth, women, students, and booth-level units. Reddy also expressed serious concerns regarding the current government’s shortcomings, highlighting issues such as the Rs 2,400 crore in unpaid Aarogyasri health scheme bills, which have hindered healthcare access.
Reddy criticized the education sector for delays in welfare programs like Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena, and pointed out that initiatives for English medium education and CBSE syllabus updates have stalled. He noted ongoing challenges in agriculture, including inefficient support initiatives and delayed financial aid, which have left farmers struggling.
Additionally, he raised issues regarding governance in health services and criticized the current liquor policy for promoting corruption and lawlessness. Reddy stressed the importance of social media, urging all party leaders to actively engage on platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram to counter misinformation and share the party’s narrative.
He concluded by emphasizing that the party is not just opposing Chandrababu Naidu but also fighting against a corrupt system supported by biased media and distorted social media narratives, calling on leaders to take responsibility in this effort.
