New Delhi: The general secretaries and in-charges of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) and the All India Congress Committee (AICC) have submitted their resignations to the party’s new president Mallikarjun Kharge. Senior Congress leader KC Venugopal tweeted this information on Wednesday.

Senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday took charge as the new president of the party. After formally taking over the reins of Congress, Kharge will now form a new team. For this reason, all the office bearers appointed by the previous president resigned today.

Earlier, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi told the stage at Kharge’s swearing-in ceremony today that she is confident that Kharge will be fully successful in strengthening the party. In such a situation, he has full responsibility to strengthen the party. Kharge will soon form his new team after the resignation of the office bearers of CWC and AICC.
