New Delhi: Rail traffic was disrupted due to derailment of a goods train on the Delhi-Rohtak route near Kharavad railway station in Haryana on Sunday. Twenty three trains passing through this route have been cancelled while five are short terminated and eight are being diverted.
Northern Railway spokesperson Deepak Kumar said that 23 trains have been cancelled due to operational reasons (derailment of goods train at Kharavad).
On the other hand, Train No. 04910 Panipat-Delhi Special, Train No. 04946 Delhi-Ghaziabad Special, Train No. 04424 Jind-Delhi Special, Train No. 04509/04510Jakhal-Lidhiana-Jakhal Special on August 8, have also been cancelled.
The spokesman said that Train No. 12482 Sri Ganganagar-Delhi and Train No. 14732 Bhatind-Delhi Express were short terminated at Rohtak. Train No. 04453 New Delhi – Rohtak Special is short terminated at Shakurbasti. Train No. 14731 Delhi-Bhatinda Express and Train No. 12481 Delhi-Sriganganagar started their journey from Rohtak.
Apart from this, Train No. 16032 Jammu Tawi-Chennai Andaman Express will be changed from Jind-Panipat-New Delhi, Train No. 15909 Dibrugarh-Lalgarh Express to Delhi-Panipat-Jind, Train No. 12455 Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Bikaner Express as Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Panipat-Jind, Train No. 14738 Tilak Bridge – Bhiwani Express has been diverted to run via New Delhi – Sonipat – Rohtak. On the other hand, Train No. 16317 Kanyakumari-Katra Express will be routed as New Delhi-Panipat-Jind, Train No. 12137 Mumbai-Farzpur Punjab Mail will be routed as New Delhi-Panipat-Jind, Train No. 12556 Bhatinda-Gorakhpur Gorakhdham Express will be diverted via Hisar-Jakhal-Jind-Panipat- Diverted to New Delhi. Train No. 22480 Lohiakha – New Delhi Intercity Express has been diverted to run via Jind – Panipat – New Delhi.
