New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has raided the hideouts of Gangs of Gangsters, synonymous with terror across the country today (Tuesday) morning. NIA teams are conducting searches at six locations in Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
The NIA has taken major action with the aim of breaking the nexus of terrorists, gangsters and drug smugglers operating in India and abroad. This residential complex and other activities related to gangsters were on the radar of NIA for a long time.
The raids focused on a gang nexus involving Lawrence Bishnoi, Neeraj Bawana, Tillu Tajpuria and Goldie Brar. These gangsters are the target of anti-terrorist agencies.
In October, the NIA raided 52 places including four states in North India and Delhi. During this, a lawyer and a gangster from Haryana were arrested. The arrested lawyer was identified as Asif Khan, a resident of Gautam Vihar in North East Delhi’s Usmanpur area.
