State Congress President to Meet Party Workers from March 19-22
Shimla: With the Himachal Pradesh Congress unit currently dissolved, only state president Pratibha Singh remains in position. The process of forming a new organizational structure has been ongoing for months. Former state in-charge Rajeev Shukla had initiated the groundwork, but with Rajni Patil now overseeing party affairs, the approach has shifted. Patil has already consulted with state leaders and submitted her report to the Congress high command. Some key appointments in the party’s executive body are expected within the next 15-20 days.
Before the reorganization is finalized, Pratibha Singh will tour Mandi district from March 19 to 22, holding meetings with party leaders and workers to discuss organizational matters and strengthen grassroots connections.
Tour Schedule and Meetings
- March 19: Pratibha Singh will leave Shimla at 11 AM for Mandi. She will attend a private event in Sundernagar before staying overnight in Mandi.
- March 20: At 11 AM, she will meet Congress leaders and workers from Mandi Sadar, Drang, Jogindernagar, Seraj, and Balh constituencies.
- March 21: At 11 AM in Sundernagar, she will hold discussions with leaders from Sundernagar, Nachan, Sarkaghat, Dharampur, and Karsog constituencies.

Congress Awaits New Leadership Structure
While Pratibha Singh’s tour focuses on mobilizing workers and addressing party concerns, the main anticipation remains the announcement of a new Congress executive body in the state. With Rajni Patil’s report now with the high command, party workers are hopeful that the new structure will be finalized soon.
