Mining Department Seizes Vehicle in Faridabad for Operating Without E-Way Bill

Chandigarh, February 27 – The Haryana Mining Department is actively cracking down on vehicles transporting minerals without valid e-way bills, alongside its ongoing efforts to curb illegal mining. As part of this initiative, the department’s monitoring teams are conducting continuous inspections across Faridabad district, ensuring strict action against violators.

According to orders issued by Director General of Mining, K.M. Pandurang, the department is maintaining strict vigilance on highways and key routes.

Vehicle Seized Near Kailly Bridge

District Mining Officer Kamlesh Bidhlan informed that the department is conducting regular inspections to prevent illegal mining in the district. On Thursday morning, during a routine check near Kailly Bridge, officials intercepted a dumper operating without an e-way bill. The driver failed to present valid documents, leading to the vehicle’s immediate seizure in the presence of police. Further legal action has been initiated against the offender.

Statewide Monitoring to Prevent Violations

Smt. Bidhlan added that as per the directives of DG K.M. Pandurang, similar checking drives are being carried out across Haryana. These inspections ensure that no vehicle carrying minerals operates without proper documentation. Mining Department teams are stationed at multiple locations around the clock to enforce compliance.

She emphasized that the Haryana Government is committed to eradicating illegal mining in the state. Strict actions are being taken against violators, and regular reports are being submitted to senior officials to maintain transparency in enforcement.
